CLINTON – The Ashford University men's golf team and head coach Josh Heiple are proud to announce the signings of Matt Thomsen, Pedro Velasco and Sergio Garcia to the 2013-14 signing class.
The trio joins Landon Osborne, Ben Thornton and Matt Chiasson as fellow singings for the upcoming year. Each player will have a chance to compete for a spot with the departure of five seniors from a team that finished the year as the #25-ranked team in the nation.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its 2013 Men's Golf All-American teams, as selected by the NAIA-Men's Golf Coaches Association All-America Committee, on Monday afternoon. Sabah, Malaysia-native Chien Hau Tan was awarded Second Team All-American status by the committee and joins 44 other student-athletes from around the nation on the prestigious award list.

Ashford wrapped up its season on Monday & Tuesday, Apr. 29-30, when the team took third place at the 2013 Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Men's Golf Championships. The Saints posted a three-round team total of 892 (303-289-300), to finish behind the tournament champions, #3-ranked California State University-San Marcos, and #12-ranked University of British Columbia.
