Complete NAIA Releases: Men || Women

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2013 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards for men's and women's tennis Friday morning, May 17.  Among the 213 combined student-athletes, a trio of Ashford University tennis players landed among the award lists.

Women's tennis competitor Theresa Stumpf and men's players Jake Dunn and Moises Hernandez were honored by the association, marking the first tennis players to receive Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition since the tennis programs were reinstated as varsity sports at AU.

SKILLMAN, N.J. – After leading the Ashford University women's tennis team to its best season in school history, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has named Chad Fenwick as its 2013 NAIA Wilson/ITA Women's Central Region Coach of the Year.

The announcement was made Monday afternoon when the ITA released its NAIA postseason accolades.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It was quite the season for the #24-ranked Ashford University women's tennis team.  However, the season ended one match too soon as the team fell in the finals of the 2013 NAIA Unaffiliated Grouping Tournament, held in Grand Rapids, Mich. 

The event, hosted by Aquinas College (Mich.) and Davenport University (Mich.) was held Friday & Saturday, Apr. 26-27.

Wed, Apr. 24, 2013 - [Tennis]

CLINTON – Tournament pairings for the 2013 NAIA Unaffiliated Men's & Women's Tennis Tournaments were announced on Wednesday.

Ashford University, grouped with members of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and Midwest Collegiate Conference (MCC), will be traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich. this Friday and Saturday, Apr. 26-27, to compete in the event.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in school history, the Ashford University women's tennis team finds itself ranked inside the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top-25 Poll.  The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon.

Ashford falls in as the #24-ranked team in the nation this week, the fifth poll release of the 2013 season.
