

MANKATO, Minn. - The Ashford University women's indoor track and field team was back in action Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27-28, as the team visited Myers Fieldhouse on the campus of Minnesota State University to compete in the 2012 MSU Maverick Open. No team scores were kept at the event, but the Saints notched another NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship qualifier to go along with five AU school record-breaking performances.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Ashford women's indoor track and field team returned to action Saturday, Jan. 21, when it visited King Fieldhouse to compete in the IC Snowbird Open hosted by Illinois College. The Saints recorded a solid third place finish among the 12 teams competing and scored 101 points on the day.

KENOSHA, Wis. - Returning to competition for the first time in 2012, the Ashford University women's indoor track and field team traveled to Kenosha over the weekend to compete in the Private College Invitational hosted by Carthage College at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. The lady Saints earned a fourth place finish among the 11 squads competing, earning 62 points in the process.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa - The opening week of the track and field season ended with Ashford University sweeping all four of the Midwest Collegiate Conference weekly track and field awards.
Sophomore Demetryione Singleton earned MCC men's track athlete of the week status while Mike Malone captured the men's field athlete of the week honor. On the women's side, freshman Myra Nichols was named MCC women's track athlete of the week as Heather Ketcham completed the sweep by collecting the women's field award.

NORMAL, Ill. - The Ashford University women's track and field team opened the season over the weekend by competing in a pair of meets on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2-3. On Friday, the AU field events competed in the St. Ambrose Frigid Bee Invite while the runners competed on Saturday at the Illinois State University Early Bird Invitational.
