MONMOUTH, Ill. – The 2015 indoor season resumed on Saturday (Jan. 24), taking the Ashford track and field teams to the 2015 Monmouth College Midwest Indoor Invitational.
GALESBURG, Ill. – The Ashford indoor track & field teams traveled to central Illinois on Saturday for the 2015 Fire Starter Open, hosted by Knox College (Ill.).
In their first competition of the year with a full squad, the Saints brought home five event titles with one member of the Ashford men's track and field team continuing his assault on the program's record book.
CLINTON – After six seasons as a member of the Ashford University coaching staff, track and field and cross country head coach Chris Adams has announced his resignation, effective immediately.
Assistant coach Sheena James will take over for both programs on an interim basis while the search begins for a new head coach.
CLINTON – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently announced the 2014 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the track and field season. A total of five Ashford student-athletes were among the 337 student-athletes named to the women's list, as well as the 233 recipients on the men's side.
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The 2014 season came to an end for the Ashford University track and field teams on Saturday, May 24, as they competed in the 2014 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track and Field National Championship at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
A total of six Ashford student-athletes competed in four events during the three day event. Highlighting the list of those competing for the Saints was junior Mike Malone, who became a three-time All-American in the pole vault, overcoming a pair of challenges to set a new school record in the event.
