CLINTON – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently announced the 2014 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the track and field season. A total of five Ashford student-athletes were among the 337 student-athletes named to the women's list, as well as the 233 recipients on the men's side.
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The 2014 season came to an end for the Ashford University track and field teams on Saturday, May 24, as they competed in the 2014 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track and Field National Championship at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
A total of six Ashford student-athletes competed in four events during the three day event. Highlighting the list of those competing for the Saints was junior Mike Malone, who became a three-time All-American in the pole vault, overcoming a pair of challenges to set a new school record in the event.
CLINTON – A total of six Ashford University student-athletes head down south for the final meet of the year to compete in four events at the 2014 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, held from Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, May 24 in Gulf Shores, Ala. at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
DAVENPORT, Iowa – In their final regular season of competition, the Ashford University track and field teams closed things out on a high note, competing at both the St. Ambrose Twilight Qualifier and the Dr. Keeler Invitationa in Naperville, Ill., hosted by North Central College (Ill.).
MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Ashford University track and field teams resumed their season on Saturday (May 3) afternoon, competing against ten other teams at the Fighting Scot Open, hosted by Monmouth College (Ill.).
At the end of the day, the AU men earned a sixth place finish with 36.5 points while the Saints' women picked up 24 points, good for ninth place overall.
