KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Junior Jalyn Deering became the fourth Ashford University student-athlete to be named an Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Athlete of the Week when the conference awarded her on Monday morning with Female Athlete of the Week honors.
The Camanche, Iowa-native went a perfect 5-0 over three matches as Ashford went on to win the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Tournament and earn a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.
WILMORE, Ky. – For the first time in program history, the Ashford University women's tennis team will be making an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament after winning the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) tournament on Saturday (Oct. 25).
After cruising to a pair of wins over Alice Lloyd College (Ky.) and Brescia University (Ky.) on day one, the Saints ended Indiana University Southeast's 15-year run as KIAC tournament champions with a 5-4 victory on Saturday (Oct. 25), securing a berth in the national tournament.
QUNICY, Ill. – The Ashford University men's and women's tennis teams headed south on Wednesday, Sept. 24, for a pair of afternoon dual matches against the Hawks of Quincy University.
CLINTON – The Ashford University men's and women's tennis teams welcomed five other schools to Clinton on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13-14, for the Ashford University Tournament at Max Lynn Courts.
The Ashford women dominated the court over the weekend, grabbing five out of the six bracket championships up for grabs. The Ashford men also turned in a strong performance with two titles and recording a pair of runner-up finishes.
MARSHALL, Mo. – The Ashford University tennis teams took to the court on Sept. 5-6 at the Missouri Valley University Tournament, the first of three scheduled tournaments this fall.
The Saints would pick up a trio of tournament victories, all coming on the women's side. The AU ladies would also earn one runner-up finish while the Ashford men earned two second place finishes.
