KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) released its Male and Female Athlete of the Week recipients on Monday morning and for the second time in her career, AU volleyball player Danielle Tombolato was chosen for the weekly honor.

HAMMOND, Ind. – The #24-ranked Ashford University volleyball team kept on rolling Saturday (Sept. 27) afternoon, picking up a pair of three-set wins at the Purdue Calumet tri-match. In the opener, the Saints cruised to a win over Rochester College (Mich.) before downing the host Peregrines of Purdue Calumet in the final match of the day to extend their winning streak to five matches.

CLINTON – Just hours after finding out they had cracked the top-25 rankings for the first time in program history, the #24-ranked Ashford University volleyball team set out to prove they deserved that ranking on Tuesday (Sept. 23) night.

Facing off against the Queen Bees of St. Ambrose University, the Saints defended their home floor emphatic fashion, sweeping the Queen Bees to improve to 16-4 on the year and pick up their 10th win in their last 11 matches.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in program history, the Ashford University volleyball team has earned a spot in the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, which was announced on Tuesday (Sept. 23) afternoon.

After receiving votes in the first two polls, the Saints earned 134 points in the third installment of the rankings and will open play this week in a tie at the #24 spot in the nation with Jamestown College (N.D.).

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Fresh off the program's first ever win over a top-five team in the nation, the Ashford University volleyball team looked to build on that momentum on Tuesday (Sept. 16) night when they faced off against the Crusaders of Clarke University.

For the second consecutive match, the Saints were pushed to a fifth and deciding game. The Saints fell behind early in the decisive set, but AU rallied to take the final game and the match to earn their ninth win in their last 10 matches.
