WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. – Paced by a dominant offensive performance in the second half and a tenacious effort on the glass, the Ashford men's basketball team closed out the 2014 calendar year in emphatic fashion on Thursday (Dec. 18) against Grand View University.
Junior Dominique Walls finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds to record his third double-double of the season. Ashford also got 19 points from Diamontae McKinley, 18 from Damon Overton and 10 points from Anthony Woods in a 71-55 win over the Vikings.

CLINTON – Four players finished in double-figures as the Ashford men's basketball team grinded their way to a 62-55 win over AIB College of Business on Friday (Dec. 12) night.
Junior Diamontae McKinley led all scorers with 19 points while Dominique Walls, Teance Walton and Damon Overton chipped in with 10 points each. Ashford's defense came up huge in the second half, holding the Eagles to 31% (9-for-29) shooting in the final 20 minutes to move to 3-9 on the year, snapping a three-game losing streak in their final home contest of 2014.
JOLIET, Ill. – Senior Anthony Woods netted a game-high 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to record his second career double-double but it was not enough to help the Ashford University men's basketball team overcome a late run in a 65-59 loss to the University of St. Francis (Ill.).
Juniors Diamontae McKinley and Damon Overton poured in 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Ashford, who was outscored 12-6 over the game's final 3:19 to fall to 2-9 on the year.
MENOMONIE, Wis. – Seniors DeAndre Lowery Jr. and Anthony Woods finished with 19 points each for the Ashford University men's basketball team on Sunday in a 67-65 loss to Wartburg College in the consolation game of the UW-Stout Thanksgiving Turkey Classic.
Junior Diamontae McKinley also finished in double-figures with 10 points, but the Saints last-second attempt to win the game missed the mark to drop Ashford to 2-8 on the year.
