CLINTON – For the final time this year, the Ashford University baseball team took to the friendly confines of Ashford University Field, hosting the Mustangs of Mt. Mercy University on Senior Day.

Both games were dominated by pitching on both sides, but the it was the Mustangs who wound up spoiling the Saints' final home appearance of the year. Mt. Mercy took the first game in nine innings, 3-2, before completing the sweep with a 4-1 win in game two.

CLINTON – The Ashford University baseball team opened their final weekend of play at the friendly confines of Ashford University Field on Friday afternoon when they faced off with the Crusaders of Clarke University.

Ashford got a strong pitching performance from senior Cam Bortell in the opening game but couldn't solve the Clarke pitching staff in a 4-3 loss. Ashford rebounded in game two, picking up a 3-0 win on the back of Kevin Delzell's second shutout of the year.

CLINTON – The Ashford University baseball team continued their seven-game homestand on Thursday night underneath the lights at Ashford University Field. Standing in the Saints' way was their longtime foe, the Bees of St. Ambrose University.

After nine intense innings on the diamond, the game headed to extras where the Bees came up with the big hit, earning a 3-2 win and sending the Saints to their third straight defeat.

CLINTON – The Ashford University baseball team opened a seven-game homestand on Tuesday at Ashford University Field, hosting the Vikings of Grand View University for a pair of mid-day games.

The Ashford offense recorded 18 hits on the afternoon but couldn't capitalize on their chances, stranding 23 baserunners on the day. That opened the door for the Vikings to take game one, 6-4, before completing the sweep with an 8-0 win in the second contest.

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Ashford University baseball team opened up a three-game weekend series with the Eagles of AIB College on Saturday afternoon, picking up a game two win.

After dropping the opening game, 4-1, the Saints outlasted the Eagles in the day's second meeting, picking up a 4-3 win in 11 innings after Manny Acevedo was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
