KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A trio of AU volleyball student-athletes have been recognized as Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Seniors Mackenzie McCutcheon and Lisa Green earned the award for the second year in a row. Joining the pair on this year's list is junior and Berwyn, Ill.-native Danielle Tombolato.

CLINTON – Four Ashford University volleyball players earned Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) First Team All-Conference recognition Thursday night at the A.I.I. Volleyball Tournament banquet, hosted by Ashford University.
Junior Samantha Schultz was named A.I.I. Libero of the year and earned a spot on the First Team All-A.I.I. Joining her on the first team were outside hitter and Freshman of the Year Victoria Day, as well as middle hitters Kristen Kotch and Danielle Tombolato.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) announced on Monday that right side hitter Micah Wedemeier has been named the league's Female Athlete of the Week.
Wedemeier, a senior from Tripoli, Iowa, recorded 23 kills in a pair of AU victories last week as the Saints downed Benedictine-Springfield, 3-0, on Wednesday night, and Clarke, 3-2, in Dubuque on Friday night.
