MORRISON, Ill. – Morrison Sports Complex was the sight for day one of the Ashford University Spring Jamboree, and the Ashford University softball team opened the event with a pair of win on Friday afternoon.

Led by Christine Ho's pinch hit walk-off single and a dominant pitching performance from senior Kendra Roth, the Saints outlasted Robert Morris (Ill.) in a 2-1 nine-inning thriller in game one. In the nightcap, the Ashford offense took over in a 9-4 win over Roosevelt University (Ill.).

CLINTON – The Ashford University softball team returned home to River Queen Field on Sunday afternoon for a pair of games with the fourth-ranked team in the country, the Cougars of Saint Xavier University (Ill.).

The Saints' offense would struggle against the team with the second-lowest earned run average in the nation (0.67), dropping game one 2-0 before falling in five innings in game two , 9-0, managing only five hits on the day.

JOLIET, Ill. – The Ashford University softball team used some late-inning heroics on Saturday morning to earn a split on day two of the University of St. Francis Tournament.

After dropping their first game of the day to Judson University (Ill.), 2-1, the Saints used four seventh inning runs to earn a comeback win over tournament host St. Francis, 5-3, in game two.
