CLINTON, Iowa - Two local tennis players have committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers as Saints.

Camanche, Iowa-natives Brayton Rasche and Jalyn Deering became the first signings of the 2012-13 season for Head Coach Chad Fenwick and the Ashford University tennis teams after the commitments were received Monday morning.

CLINTON, Iowa - The 2012 season is off to a promising start for the Ashford women's tennis team.

In their opening meet on Friday and Saturday, the Saints knocked off Missouri Baptist, 8-1 at the Ashford Indoor Community Tennis Center.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Ashford University women's tennis team capped off a great fall season this past weekend by travelling to the ITA Regional Tournament hosted by McKendree University in St. Louis, Mo.

The Saints qualified a doubles team for the tournament championship finals while having an all-Ashford final on the consolation side of the doubles bracket.

PELLA, Iowa - After defeating Wartburg on Wednesday, the Ashford women's tennis team kept on the winning track Saturday afternoon when they defeated Central College, 7-2. The Saints swept the doubles portion of the contest before earning victories in the top four singles matches to handily defeat their NCAA Division III opponents.

CLINTON, Iowa - For a team that is only in its second season, the Ashford University women's tennis team is putting opponents on notice early.

The Saints were victorious in their only home dual meet of the fall season on Wednesday, knocking off Wartburg College, 6-3.
