

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Wednesday that Sarah Wenzel, a junior from Clinton, Iowa, has been named the National Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 13-19.
The award marks the final national weekly award of the indoor season and is Ashford's first-ever NAIA National Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honoree.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Ashford University's women's indoor track and field team went back to work on Thursday night when it visited the PepsiCo Center in Rock Island to compete in a triangular against St. Ambrose and Augustana College. The Saints didn't compete in every event, but set five new school records during the meet.

STERLING, Ill. - The Ashford University women's indoor track and field squad visited the Westwood Fitness & Sports Complex on Saturday, Feb. 11 to compete in the 2012 Midwest Collegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. AU crowned a pair of individual league champions en route to a third place finish among the eight squads in action.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Three school records fell on Saturday, Feb.4, as the Ashford University women's indoor track and field team competed in the 2012 Dr. Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College. The Saints took part in limited action to take fifth place overall as a team in the 19-team field.

MANKATO, Minn. - The Ashford University women's indoor track and field team was back in action Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27-28, as the team visited Myers Fieldhouse on the campus of Minnesota State University to compete in the 2012 MSU Maverick Open. No team scores were kept at the event, but the Saints notched another NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship qualifier to go along with five AU school record-breaking performances.
