2009 (Senior): Named First Team All-MCC member in her senior year…Started all 19 of the games she appeared in...Assisted on two goals throughout the season…Set up a Chelsea Fisher score in the 39th minute vs. Viterbo University (Sept. 26)…Assisted a Kira Favaro game-winning goal during an 11-0 blowout against Mount Mary College (Sept. 20).

2008 (Junior): Voted as Ashford's Most Outstanding Player at the team banquet as decided by her teammates…Served as one of three team captains during her junior campaign along with Holly Maskell and Cassandra Broderick…Honorable Mention All-MCC selection...Appeared in all 15 games while making 14 starts…Speedy perimeter defender who managed two shots on goal during the year against Coe College (Sept. 10) and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (Oct. 21)…Provided stability on the back line as Ashford raced out to four consecutive shutouts to begin the season against the University of St. Francis (1-0, Aug. 27), Cornell College (1-0, Aug. 30), Cardinal Stritch University (2-0, Sept. 6) and Coe College.

2007 (Sophomore): Received starts in 15 games, with Ashford outscoring the opposition 35-15 in games she played in…Recorded four shots on goal in games against the University of St. Francis (Aug. 29), Knox College (Sept. 11), Clarke College (Oct. 10) and Grand View University (Oct. 13).

2006 (Freshman): Was an offensive force as a freshman, scoring three goals and recording an assist, while starting all 17 games…Netted a goal in her Ashford debut (Sept. 1)…Credited with first multi-goal game against Mount Mary College (Sept. 24), scoring a pair of goals in a 10-0 AU blanking…Assisted Cecilia Cline's goal at the 42-minute mark against Mt. Mercy College (Oct. 17).

Prior to Ashford: Two-time Most Valuable Defensive Player as a freshman at Clinton High School as a freshman and junior…Two-time All-Mississippi Athletic Conference Academic Team honoree (2005, 2006) as a junior and senior…Recipient of the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Excellence in Academic Achievement Award.

Personal: Born Samantha Alison Green on Oct. 16, 1987…Daughter of Michael and Jan Green…Has one brother, Dustin Abnet…Enjoys reading, running, watching movies and swimming…Chose Ashford over Central College and Iowa State University…Lists winning five games as a true freshman with only nine players on the roster as her favorite athletic moment.
