2011 Outdoor (Junior): On the team that brought home first-place points in the 4x400-meter relay at the Knox College Invite (3:26:42)…competed well in a pair of meets in the 400-meter hurdles, took third at the Knox College Invite (1:01.23) and fourth at the 70th Annual Viking Olympics (59.92)…took eighth at the MCC Outdoor Championships in the 400-meter hurdles (59.02).

2011 Indoor (Junior): Was a part of the second-place 4x400-meter relay team during the MCC Indoor Championships, the team also reset Ashford's 4x400-meter indoor record (3:27.59)…also helped the 4x400-meter relay squad finish with the second-best time at the IC Snowbird Open (3:28.81)…blazed a time of 8.07 to finish third in the 60-meter hurdles at the Knox Indoor Invite and finished fourth in his next outing in this event at the IC Snowbird Open (8.62)…placed sixth at the Missouri Invitational in the 660-yard spring (1:15:65).

2010 Outdoor (Sophomore): Helped the 4x100-meter relay team place third overall at the MCC Outdoor Championships, helping the Saints score six additional points…Also placed 10th in the 400-meter hurdles at the conference meet with a time of 60.45…Placed second overall in the 400 hurdles at the Knox Invitational (62.31)…Earned a third-place finish in the 4x200-meter relay at the Lee Calhoun Invite, helping his team finish with a time of 1:30.98…Place 22nd overall at the Viking Olympics in the 800-meter run (2:08.44).

2010 Indoor (Sophomore): Helped break the AU indoor school record in the 4x400-meter relay at the UNI Dome Open, finishing with a time of 3:28.69…Placed sixth overall in the 600-meter run at the MCC Indoor Championships after crossing the line in 1:27.64…Took home seventh in the 600 at the Carthage Opener (1:28.33)…Finished in 10th place at the UNI Dome Open in the 400-meter dash, finishing with a time of 53.54.

2008-09 (Freshman): Member of the MCC-winning 4x400-meter relay team along with John Gaffney, Franklin Barnes and Robert Phillips.

Prior to Ashford: Played three sports while at Hillcrest High School including baseball, football and track and field…Four-time selection to the honor roll at Hillcrest…Earned all-conference accolades a senior and was a member of Hillcrest's 4x400-meter state-qualifying unit.

Personal: Born Ademola Emmanuel Are on Feb. 12, 1991…Son of Ademola and Christina Are…Has three siblings…Enjoys swimming, singing and playing video games.
