2011 Outdoor (Sophomore): Finished fourth in the 4x800-meter relay at the MCC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (8:27.83)…helped the 4x800-meter squad take fifth at the 70th Annual Viking Olympics (8:35.64)…placed ninth individually in the 800-meter run at the Spartan Open with a final time of 2:09.37.

2011 Indoor (Sophomore): Ran in a pair of relay races at the MCC Indoor Track and Field Championships; placed third in the 4000-meter distance medley relay (11:28.63) and took fourth in the 4x800-meter relay (8:52.90)…placed ninth in a pair of individual races; raced to a 2:11.50 in the 800-meters at the Knox Indoor Invitational (2:11.50, and recorded a 4:56.09 finish in the mile at the Illinois State Early Bird Invite.

2010 Outdoor (Freshman): Member of the fifth place 4x800-meter relay team at the MCC Outdoor Championships, collectively finishing in a time of 8:36.39…Placed 11th in the 1,500-meter run (4:38.32) and 16th in the 800 (2:16.56) at the MCC's as well…Earned a third-place finish in the 1,500 at the Knox Invitational, finishing with a time of 4:33.37 while also placing fourth in the 5,000-meter run (19:34.91)…Set an outdoor season's best time in the 800-meter run at the Lee Calhoun Invite, placing 32nd with a time of 2:06.49.

2010 Indoor (Freshman): Placed fifth overall at the Carthage Opener in the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in 2:11.12…Took 12th at the MCC Indoor Championships in the one mile run with a time of 5:10.89…Set a season's best time in the 800 at the Jack Jennett Invite, finishing in 15th place with a time of 2:10.60…Finished in 12th place in the 1,000-meter run at the Sol Butler Classic, ending in a time of 2:52.53.

Prior to Ashford: Versatile athlete who competed in five sports while at William A. Wirt High School...Lettered in track and field, cross country, wrestling, golf and tennis…Was a two-time indoor Indiana state qualifier as a member of the 4x800 and distance medley relay teams as a junior and senior…Two-time Northwest Conference runner-up in wrestling…Regional qualifier in tennis and cross country during his junior year…Also an AAU track and field and cross country national qualifier…Recipient of the William Harden Inspiration Award for track as a sophomore…Coached in high school by Leroy Nelson and Deron Swain.
