Josh Heiple - Head Coach - 1st Season

Heiple officially joined the Ashford athletic department as the men's golf head coach in early August of 2010 and will begin his second season at the helm this coming fall. He was elevated to the same position of head coach for the women's golf program following its remarkable postseason run that included a Midwest Collegiate Conference title and a trip to the NAIA National Championships.

Originally from Sturgis, Mich., Heiple previously spent the past three years as the head men's golf coach of the Glen Oaks Community College in Centerville, Mich., before joining the Saints' staff.

During that time Heiple helped rebuild a program from the brink of extinction into a top-10 nationally ranked program. He also tutored his players to numerous All-Conference and All-Region accolades while at the helm.

Heiple has also spent the past two years as a student assistant for the Western Michigan University women's golf program while he was working toward his degree. In that same time frame, Heiple has been the Tournament Director for the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 12.

Heiple played collegiate golf and was a letterwinner at the University of Northern Iowa from 1997-2001. He also received extensive playing experience on reputable tours such as the Tight Lies Tour, Hooters Tour and Canadian Tour, in a four-year span.

Heiple obtained his Bachelor of Science with emphasis in Communication and Business from Western Michigan University after transferring from the University of Northern Iowa. He currently resides in Richland, Mich., with his wife, Brooke, and daughter, Sophia.

Jordan Davis - Grad Assistant - 1st Season

Davis, a product of Delmar, Iowa, completed an accolade-filled career in both women's golf and women's basketball with the Saints. She joined the athletic department as a graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's golf programs in early June.

Davis assists Head Coach Josh Heiple with all functions of the program, including recruiting, practices and tournament operations/traveling.

A two-time Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Year (2010, 2011), Davis cemented her Ashford legacy as an NAIA National Championships qualifier, both on the individual and team levels. In a record-breaking sophomore campaign, she made her way through the 36-hole cut at the national meet in South Dakota in the spring of 2009.

Just this past spring, she helped lead the Saints' charge to the program's first MCC Championship crown and an automatic team berth to the NAIA National Championships in Greeneville, Tenn.

When Davis' career was all said and done, she was a four-time First Team All-MCC selection, six-time event medalist, eight-time MCC Player of the Week and on the high end of the academic spectrum, a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Davis was also tabbed a two-time Ashford University Sport Performance Yearly Awards (AUSPY) Female Athlete of the Year as voted upon by the Saints' coaching staff.

Also a four-year member of the Saints' basketball backcourt as a point guard, Davis capped off her senior year with Honorable Mention All-MCC accolades.

Davis is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Organizational Management while at Ashford in her graduate assistantship. She currently resides in Clinton.
