CLINTON, Iowa - The Ashford University men's bowling team signed its eighth member to next fall's inaugural roster earlier this month, gathering the commitment of Joliet Junior College's Troy Behning of Seneca, Ill.

A four-year golfer at Seneca High School, Behning has spent the last two years at Joliet Junior College. While at Joliet, Behning was a member of the men's soccer team, where he was named a captain during his sophomore year.

Behning won't be the first transfer from Joliet Junior College to come to Ashford, as graduated softball infielder Kimberly Samples and baseball pitcher J.D. Fabian also previously played for the Wolves.

Another Joliet alum joined the newcomer ranks recently, as volleyball right side hitter Lisa Green also committed.

The son of Jeff and Jill Behning, Behning enjoys golfing, playing softball and working outside when he isn't on the lanes or on the course.

A prospective Accounting major when he arrives to campus, Behning ultimately chose Ashford over Northern Illinois University and Eastern Illinois University.
