
MT. PLEASANT, Iowa - After shattering a slew of school records in his first collegiate season, Ashford University men's golf freshman Nac Huachai of Windermere, Fla., landed on the Midwest Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team the league announced this afternoon.
St. Ambrose University's Dusty Drenth was named the MCC's Player of the Year for back-to-back seasons while Grand View University Head Coach Chris Winkel was chosen as the MCC Coach of the Year.
A total of 10 student-athletes were named to the all-league team, including five on the honorable mention squad.
Huachai was a two-time MCC Player of the Week during his rookie year which included top-10 efforts in six of eight tournaments between the fall and spring. He finished runner-up in at the season-ending Mt. Mercy Spring Invitational, the spring-opening St. Francis Invitational and the Iowa Wesleyan Fun City Classic.
The native of Thailand had a season-low round of 2-under par 70 at the St. Francis Invitational. He found red numbers with a pair of 1-under par 71's at the Mt. Mercy Spring Invitational at Hunters Ridge Golf Course.
