ANKENY, Iowa - The Ashford University men's golf team wrapped up the final round of the MCC Championship at Otter Creek Golf Course on Sunday, carding a team total of 327.

The Saints finished eighth in the eight-team field and were unable to generate a surge after beginning final-round play in seventh, with Mt. Mercy College in striking distance.

Freshman Lucas Mulholland finished Sunday with the team's low score, putting a 7-over par 78 on the scorecard. Sophomore Colt Ostrum of Mount Carroll, Ill., matched his best round of the tournament with an 85, also posting an 85 in first-round play.

Freshman Nac Huachai of Windermere, Fla., was Ashford's top finisher, ending in a tie for 21st. He wrapped up the final round with a 9-over par 80 on the par-71 course.

Senior Kyle Mantick of Peoria, Ill., tied for 33rd with an 84 while sophomore Justin Fritz of Mount Carroll, Ill., closed with a 92 to place 39th.
