CLINTON, Iowa - Ashford University men's soccer seniors Kyle Mantick of Peoria, Ill., and Mike Lentini of Belvidere, Ill., were late additions as announced Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the nominating period.

The outside midfielders joined teammates Keith Caldwell of Garden Prairie, Ill., Macklin Larsen of Stillman Valley, Ill., and Nick Roman of Belvidere, Ill., as Saints with NAIA Academic All-American status.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, candidates needed to be in junior status and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale to qualify.

Lentini, an English major, finished his final season with a pair of goals and four assists for the national tourney-qualifying Saints and Mantick, a Sports and Recreation Management major, contributed an assist.

The AU volleyball team also had five student-athletes receive the honor, while women's soccer landed three and men's cross country had one recipient so far in the academic year.
