MANITOWOC, Wis. - The Ashford University (3-2, 0-0 MCC) women's basketball team put together a win in the opening round of the Lakeshore Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, beating Bethany Lutheran University (0-2 overall), 67-57, on the campus of Silver Lake College.

The Saints advanced to the finals of the tournament held tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. with the opponent either the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac or host Silver Lake.

Stats became available on Monday following the tournament.

AU received another all-around balanced scoring effort, getting double-digit scoring totals from four players in senior Kim Fabry (11) of Oconto Falls, Wis., Kelly Fisher (11) of Fremont, Calif., Jordan Davis (10) of Delmar and Shel'si Weaver (10) of Beloit, Wis.

Fabry recorded a double-double, equaling her scoring output with 11 rebounds, and hit all three of her tries from beyond the arc.
