The Saints will be looking to avenge a Sept. 26 regular-season loss vs. Viterbo on Saturday

CLINTON, Iowa - The Ashford University women's soccer begins what it hopes is a lengthy postseason run tomorrow as the fifth-seeded Saints travel to No. 4 seed Viterbo University to begin the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament.

The Saints ran into an upstart V-Hawks squad in their regular-season matchup, falling at home, 2-1. The loss was AU's only defeat in the month of September and put an end to an impressive eight-game win streak that featured seven shutouts.

Freshman Chelsea Fisher of Calgary, Alberta, scored Ashford's lone goal off a free kick by senior defender Samantha Green of Clinton.

Both teams finished with identical 4-3-1 conference records, but Viterbo earned the right to host Saturday's game at 2 p.m. with its win on Sept. 26.

The winner of tomorrow's game will face the winner of top-seeded St. Ambrose University and No. 8 seed Mt. Mercy College on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m.
