
The Saints tied for 10th in an 18-team field along with North Central College and Judson College by carding a team total of 309 (+21).
Blake Blumenstock of North Park University earned individual honors with a 66 (-6) while Lewis University claimed the team title on the strength of three top-10 finishes.
"I thought we did pretty well on a course that we haven't seen before," AU Head Coach Chris Powers said. "There's still more room for improvement and we'll keep working hard for the rest of our fall events."
Huachai made a pair of birdies coming in after he was sitting at even par through 13 holes. He had a double bogey that dropped him to even par. It marked his second straight top-10 finish after tying for 10th in last Friday's Duane Chanay Invitational.
Nine strokes back was freshman Lucas Mulholland (79) of Mount Vernon, Iowa. Seniors Mike Reddersdorf of Marengo, Ill., and Clinton's Tyler Sukut each carded a pair of 80's to tie for 66th. Sophomore Colt Ostrum of Mount Carroll, Ill., finished with an 85.
The Saints return to the road this weekend as they travel to the two-day Clarke College Invitational on Sunday and Monday in Dubuque.
