
CLINTON, Iowa – As the fall season grows closer, the Ashford women's soccer team continues to add to their roster, announcing the signings of three more student-athletes for the 2012 season. Stephanie Dominguez, Haley Voeller and Kayla Pribie have all committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers for Head Coach Mick Regan's Saints.
Hailing from the Lone Star State of Texas, Dominguez comes to Iowa after completing a four-year varsity career at Bel Air High School in El Paso. While at Bel Air, Dominguez was both a team MVP and a captain. The highlight of her high school career coming as a junior, when she scored her team's winning goal to qualify for the state playoffs.
Additionally, Stephanie has been a member of the FC El Paso Storm club team for the last five years, and the New Mexico ODP club squad for the last four.
The daughter of Gabriela Dominguez, Stephanie plans on majoring in criminal justice at Ashford.
Voeller comes to Ashford after spending the last two seasons at Iowa Western CC with fellow Ashford newcomer Chamea Palmer. Much like her current teammate, Voeller put up big numbers, scoring 25 goals and adding 21 assists over the two years.
For her efforts at IWCC, she was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-America Honorable Mention Team as a sophomore. In addition, the Newton, Utah-native was named to the Division I All-Region XI First Team each year at IWCC.
After finishing her prep career at Belleville High School (Mich.), Priebe will comes to Clinton to help bolster the Ashford defense.
A standout in both soccer and cross country, Priebe was nominated to the National Honor Society three times, as well as the Western Wayne Athletic Conference All-Academic squad as a junior.
Kayla is the daughter of Richard and Michelle Priebe and will major in biology.
