CLINTON, Iowa - Head Coach Josh Heiple and the Ashford women's golf team are proud to announce the addition of Taylor Stewart to the 2012-13 Saints squad.

A native of nearby Erie, Ill., Stewart completes the Saints incoming class of student-athletes after completing a stellar playing career at Erie High School. While playing for the Cardinals, Stewart qualified for the sectional golf tournament her final three years of high school. As a junior, Taylor was awarded medalist honors at the regional golf meet.

Much like the rest of her new incoming teammates, the Ashford coaching staff expects instant contributions from Stewart.

"We are ecstatic to have Taylor joining us at Ashford," Heiple said. "She has a lot of talent and untapped potential and has a chance to become one of the better players in our program for the next four years."

The daughter of Chad and Jill Stewart, Taylor will study accounting at Ashford.
