CLINTON, Iowa - Head Coach Micah Cewe and the Ashford University volleyball team announced the commitment of a cross-town transfer on Friday. Mandi White, a native of Mount Pleasant, Iowa and a transfer from Clinton Community College, has decided to continue her academic and athletic careers at Ashford University.

The incoming sophomore spent one season at CCC and was named to the All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Honorable Mention squad after helping the Cougars to a 22-16 record overall. White led the league in digs and ranked 22nd in the nation with 744 (5.4 per set) while placing third on the team in service aces with 38.

In addition, White led Mount Pleasant High School to a Southeast Conference Championship during her senior prep season while garnering First Team All-Southeast Conference accolades. She led the team with 477 digs (6.0 per set) and chipped in 45 kills to go along with 29 service aces as the Panthers finished with an 18-12 overall record.

Friday's announcement marks the 13th new face slated to appear in uniform for AU this fall.

Mandi is the daughter of Dan and Lori White and plans to continue her degree in elementary education when she enrolls at AU.
