CLINTON, Iowa - The Ashford women's soccer team are pleased to announce the signings of four more student-athletes for the 2012 season.

Jordan and Danielle Cummings, Halla Marinosdottir and Gudrun Eggertsdottir bring the incoming class of student-athletes to seven for head coach Mick Regan and are primed to help the Saints in their first year in the A.I.I.

Hailing from Morris, Ill., twin sisters Jordan and Danielle Cummings come to Ashford once their careers at Morris High School are complete.

Playing the forward and midfield positions, Jordan is a two-time All-Conference Honorable Mention selection. As a junior, she potted five goals while dishing out 11 assists in her second year as a varsity starter.

Jordan's best season statistically was get sophomore year when she had 22 points, six goals and ten assists.

As a member of the Redskins, Danielle was named First Team All-Conference her junior season, as well as team Defensive Player of the Year for her efforts in goal and on defense. That year, she recorded two goals and three assists while posting 1.78 goals against average.

Danielle was named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference team her sophomore year and the Morris Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman.

The daughters of Jeff and Cindie Hunt and Mike and Kendra Cummings, Jordan will major in natural sciences while Danielle plans on studying elementary education.

Eggertsdottir will join the Saints after spending her high school career as a member of FH soccer club in her native Iceland from 2007-2011.

During her time with the team playing in Iceland's top women's soccer division, Eggertsdottir has recorded 12 goals in 75 games. From 2006-2010, Gudrun was also a member of both the FH U-16 and U-18 teams.

The daughter of Eggert Karvelsson and Saedis Hlodversdottir, Gudrun is majoring in biology at Ashford.

Also a member of FH before coming to Clinton, Marinosdottir began playing for the club in 2009. In 2010, she started in each of her seven appearances for FH, scoring two goals on the season. During that time, Halla was also a member of the FH U-18 team.

Halla is the daughter of Margret Halldorsdottir and Marino Kristinsson and is majoring in Biology at Ashford.
