CLINTON, Iowa - Head Coach Oliver Drake and the Ashford University men's basketball team announced the signing of two more student-athletes for the 2012-13 season. Corey (C.J.) Malone and Stanley Moore have committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers as members of the Ashford University family.

This brings the total number of new faces on the team this coming fall to eleven.

Malone, a 6-1 guard from Menominee Falls, Wis., is currently closing out his senior year at Menominee Falls High School where he capped off an impressive career just months ago. Malone has been a two-time member of the All-Greater Metro Conference Honorable Mention team while averaging 14.2 points per game for the Indians during his senior season.

In addition, the incoming freshman etched his name in the MFHS record books by holding records for three-point field goals made in a season and career, career free throw and three-point field goal shooting percentages and points scored in a season. He also played alongside J.P. Tokoto, a University of North Carolina recruit and the player of the year in the GMC.

C.J. is the son of Greg and Kim Malone and was coached in high school by Dan Leffil.

Moore, a Hononegah, Ill.-native, comes to Ashford via Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, Ill. where he concluded a two-year stint as a Skyhawk. This past season the incoming junior averaged 12.6 points, 5.9 assists, three rebounds and 2.4 steals before being named to the All-National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region IV First Team.

As a freshman, Moore averaged 10.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists for SVCC.

Stanley plans to continue his degree in criminal justice when he enrolls at Ashford.
