Megan Wagner continued to provide insightful thoughts into the Saints' experience in Tennessee

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Ashford University sophomore women's golfer Megan Wagner is continuing to take time out of her busy routine at the NAIA National Championships in the Volunteer State to provide background and insight into her experience.

The following content is her personal account behind the scenes where she and the rest of the Midwest Collegiate Conference champion Saints compete at the national championships as a team for the first time in school history.

"We had gorgeous weather today for round three. Tee times started off at 8 a.m. and it didn't take long for it warm up enough for us to take our jackets off. Today was the first day of play that we weren't paired up with someone from our own team. The competition kept each one of us on our toes. For the day we had one round in the 70's, one round in the 80's, and three rounds in the low 90's.

It didn't take us all more than four and a half hours to complete our rounds today and that was a very good thing. We were all still pretty beat from the 27-holes the day before and getting done fast let us relax for the rest of the afternoon. After our rounds were complete the entire team, coaches and parents, decided to have a good southern lunch at Stan's BBQ. That was a very good and satisfying lunch to help us all settle down.

When we arrived back to the hotel, it didn't take long for any of us to clean up and lay down. The rest of our night was pretty low key. We had dinner at Wendy's and then got dessert and The Country's Best Yogurt (TCBY). We had eaten here once in the fall and when dessert is good we can't forget about it.

The rest of the night ended up back at the hotel packing and getting ready for the final round of the NAIA Tournament. It's been a very exciting week for us and a very good learning experience. Once more I would to thank the support from Ashford University, our coaches, parents, teammates and everyone else here supporting the Lady Saints golf team."
